  • Highlight of the walk include: the Mandela Rhodes Building where we set the scene and give a chronological overview of Mandela’s life; Greenmarket Square to understand the role played by religious groupings in “struggle”.
  • The City Hall for its iconic moment of 11th Feb 1990. We take in Parliament and Tuynhuis: the setting for much political intrigue, debate and negotiation that were going on behind the scenes and which finally led to our first democratically-led president taking his seat in the very institution that had previously institutionalized apartheid.
