After breakfast you will depart to Los Bajos del Toro, a small village surrounded by rainforest in the slopes of the Poas Volcano. This rural town is also home of the Toro Amarillo Waterfall, one of the most scenic cataract in Costa Rica. Your drive will take you up to Palmira, where plantations of potatoes, cabbage and pasture fields blend in the natural forest to offer some of Costa Rica’s most scenic views. After a short walk in the rainforest where several species of trees, plants and flowers can be seen, you will start the descent to the bottom of the waterfall by going down for approximately 400 steps.

Toro Amarillo Water fall is the biggest waterfall in Costa Rica and second one in beauty and splendor. Look-out stations are strategically located on the property to offer you stunning views, while hiking down enjoy the rock formations of this ancient volcanic crater, its colors and textures, and the feel of special chemical composition of the water will make one of the most amazing encounters with nature. After visiting the waterfall you will continue to the village of Bajos del Toro, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch in a local and very authentic eatery. After lunch, the tour will continue the way back to Chayote Lodge visiting a farm on the way and learning about the plantation process of different crops. The tour will also stop in Zarcero park, one of the most recognized parks of Costa Rica due to its cypress topiary gardens.

After breakfast you will have a private transportation to take you to your next destination.

After breakfast, you will have a private transfer to the small town of Bagaces from Guanacaste province.

After breakfast, enjoy one of the most popular activities in Rio Perdido, a white water tubbing adventure.

Your Rio Perdido stay will not be complete without navigating the quick and sinuous currents of this mysterious river. By doing so on an inner-tube, you´ll let the river take you at its own rhythm and whim. This short adventure is certain to bring out everyone’s joyous inner child.

After breakfast, you will have a private transfer to Tempisque area, close to the Nicoya town from Guanacaste.

After breakfast, get ready to enjoy a Safari through the wetlands.

Departing from Rancho Humo Estancia in one of our Land Rover Safari jeeps, a journey through out kilometres of wetlands where wildlife seems to be taking over. Hundreds of aquatic birds flying around and feeding from the richness of these lands. Keep eyes open to spot Roseate Spoonbills, Wood Storks, White and Tiger Herons, Anhingas, Neotropical Cormorants, Northern Jacanas, the Jabiru (largest aquatic bird in America and in the verge of extinction), and much more.

After breakfast, private transfert to Nosara Beach in Guanacaste province.

After breakfast, you will have a shared transfer to Nosara airstrip to board a local flight back to San Jose. Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you to the International San Jose Airport on time to board your international flight back home.
